Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

01 Who we are

huereo is a product of Supermerco, based in India. Supermerco runs this website and is responsible for the personal data it collects. For anything in this policy, email hello@supermerco.com.

02 What this policy covers

This policy covers personal data collected through this website. It does not cover the huereo software itself: huereo runs inside your own environment, and we do not receive the data it processes. Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement.

Please do not send us real personal data from your datasets through the contact form or by email. Describe the data, or send a schema.

03 What we collect

When you use the contact form: Your name, email address, organisation (optional), the engagement you are interested in, a description of the data you need to release and where you and the people in it are (both optional), and your message. We also store a random identifier for your submission, so a retried send is stored once, and a shortened, keyed one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse. We do not store the address itself.
Page views and loading speed: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views: the page, the referring site, and your country, device type, browser and operating system. Vercel Speed Insights measures how quickly pages load on your device. Neither sets cookies or stores anything on your device, and visitors are counted with a hash that changes every day, so you cannot be recognised across days or sites.
Server logs: Our server may log the time, path, status and duration of form requests, with a request number, but no IP address and no form contents. Our hosting provider keeps its own standard access logs.

04 What we do not do

No tracking or advertising cookies. The only thing we store in your browser is a cookie that remembers which edition (Global or India) you chose, for a year.
No advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts or fonts: everything is served from our own domain.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

05 India and global editions

The site has a global edition and an India edition at /in. When you first arrive, our hosting provider reads the country of your IP address at the edge and, if it is India, sends you to the India edition. The country is used for that one decision and not stored. If you switch editions in the footer, we set one preference cookie, huereo_region, that holds only “global” or “in” and expires after a year. It is the only cookie this site sets, and it is strictly necessary to remember your choice, so there is no cookie banner.

06 How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and follow up on it. The basis is your request, and our legitimate interest in answering it.
To protect the website from spam and abuse. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping it working.
To understand which pages are useful and how fast they load, from totals only, not used to identify anyone.

08 How long we keep it

Enquiries are deleted automatically 24 months after they arrive, or sooner if you ask.

09 Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply, the EU and UK GDPR, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it or delete it. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

To make a request, email hello@supermerco.com. We will confirm who you are using the email address the data is linked to, and we aim to reply within 30 days.

10 Security

The site runs over HTTPS with a strict Content Security Policy. IP addresses are stored only as keyed one-way hashes, and the inbox is protected by a hashed password, rate limits and secure session cookies on our own domain. No system is perfectly secure; see our security page to report a problem.

11 Children

This website is meant for professionals and is not directed at anyone under 18.

12 Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
